Europe and the Bull.

A story from Greek mythology.

Zeus, in the form of a bull, abducted princess Europe. With her on his back he swam to Crete. They three children, one of which was a boy that would become king Minos, the first king of the Minoic culture, that is regarded as the first civilised culture of Europe. This story is seen as the mythological beginning of culture in Europe and for that reason many European cities have a depiction of Europe and the Bull.

In my version Zeus and the princess are shown with hair and horns entwined. Did Zeus abduct her or did she take the initiative and did she seduce him. This sculpture also depicts the eternal struggle of the sexes.
